In Season 7 of HBO’s Game of Thrones, it’s that clear women are leading the fight to rule the Seven Kingdoms. Quidd recently released a digital collection of Game of Thrones stickers honoring the fierce female characters of “The Known World.” Quidd’s stickers, once collected, can be shared via a slew of popular messaging apps — very useful when invoking the badassery of Daenerys or Arya in your daily conversations! Here’s how each of the stickers in this set captures the words of these queens and warriors…
The Great Masters tried to crush her and take her dragons, never the less, Daenerys persevered. This season we see Daenerys finally reach Westeros, determined to take the Iron Throne with strength and compassion, refusing to be as ruthless as her father, the “Mad King.”
Who said it: Margaery Tyrell to Lady Olenna. Margaery craftily alerts her grandmother to danger with a secret note, urging her to retreat.
Another favorite Margaery moment was a response to Petyr Baelish, who asked, “Do you want to be a queen?” To which she responded, “No. I want to be the queen.”
Who said it: Ygritte was sure to call out a naive (in more ways than one) Jon Snow, who continually underestimated this fierce Wildling.
Another great Daenerys line, “All men must die, but we are not men.” Perhaps a foreshadowing of who will be left sitting on the Iron Throne? We loved this Daenerys’ feminist-powered spin on the commonly used “valar morgulis,” which translates as “all men must die…eventually.”
Brienne’s words remind us of Mary Norton, the fifth woman to serve in the United States House of Representatives, who once said, “I’m no lady, I’m a member of Congress, and I’ll proceed on that basis.”
What does one say to the god of death? As taught by her sword fighting instructor Syrio, a fearless and unrelenting Arya says, “Not today.”
Who said it: Lyanna Mormont. This 10 year old Northerner does not need anyone’s permission to defend the North. “I don’t plan on knitting by the fire while men fight for me. I might be small, Lord Glover, and I might be a girl, but I am every bit as much a Northerner as you.”
Dracarys is the High Valerian word for “dragonfire,” and a symbol of the power the Mother of Dragons wields this season. Westeros is looking like a woman’s world to win, and Daenerys is ready to claim her throne.
